Camp Directors

    Jim Schlentz - is currently Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Colts Neck High School, NJ.  He started the program when the school opened in the fall of 1998.  It is now one of the elite high school programs in the nation. www.coltsnecktrack.com   In cross country, the 2006 girls cross country team finished 4th at the Nike Cross Nationals and won the NJ Meet of Champions, the 2005 team was #17 in the final national ranking; He's had 4 different Footlocker National finalists and 1 NXN National qualifier; His boys and girls distance runners at Colts Neck have won 5 individual and 3 relay national championships, 98 All-Americans, 21 individual and 1 relay Meet of Champion winners; 14 team, 21 relay and 49 individual State Group Champions. In total, he has coached xc/track for 49 years, 37 years of high school, 9 years of collegiate coaching experience (including 7 as a head coach), and 20 years of experience coaching elite runners.  While coaching these elite athletes, 8 qualified for the Olympic Trials with one winning the 1996 Olympic Trials womens's 10,000 meter race to make the Olympic team.  He was inducted into the NYC Armory Hall of Fame and the New Jersey Coaches Hall of Fame.

Jordan Brannan - is currently Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Cross Country programs and assistant track coach at SUNY Delhi College.  This past year, he coached the school's first All-American in the women's 800, tied the record for the highest men's team regional cross country finish and the women broke every school distance running record.

As an athlete, Jordan ran at Iona College's nationally ranked Division 1 cross country program.  He was a two-time
individual conference champ and competed at two XC NCAA National Championships and one NCAA regional championship.  While running for Colts Neck HS, NJ, he was a 2 time All Groups Champion (Meet of Champions), 2 time track All-American and a Nike XC Nationals individual qualifier.

Jordan was a four year camper with XCU Camp and a counselor for three.  He now brings 6 years of coaching
experience at the college, high school and youth levels.

He holds a master's degree in adolescent education.

Jon Stouber - is currently an assistant Cross Country and Track & Field coach at Nottingham HS in Hamilton, NJ.  He previously competed for Colts Neck HS and was a 5 time All-Conference and 2 time All-Region distance runner at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ).  He was a camper and Head Boys Counselor at the original Cross Country University Running Camp.
