2011 Final Instructions

PICK UP TIME FOR SUNDAY HAS BEEN MOVED BACK TO 10:30-11:30 am!

(previously 10am. Campers will not be ready to leave before then)

DON’T FORGET TO BRING ANY HEALTH FORMS OR OUTSTANDING PAYMENTS TO CAMP IF YOU DID NOT MAIL THEM ALREADY.

DO NOT MAIL ANY FORMS NOW AS WE WILL NOT RECEIVE THEM BEFORE CAMP!

Dear Camper,

Here are some final instructions for attending Cross Country University. Most importantly***, you must have sent your medical history/release form or have it with you when you check in or you cannot stay.*** Please do not forget it!  Please print it from the website.   www.xcucamp.com

Arrival time at the camp is between 10:00am and noon on Tuesday, August 9th. We will have lunch shortly after 12:00 and then have a camp meeting with everyone.

Departure/pick up time will be between 10:00 am and 11:00 am on Sunday, August 14th. We will have breakfast but there will be no lunch served on Sunday.

Colts Neck Bus is now FULL!

Bus will leave at 8:30 am from Colts Neck High School Parking Lot. You can bring $ to pay for bus that day (cash or check)

If you live down by the Jersey Shore (Colts Neck HS area) and would like to take the bus to camp, email us at xcucamp@yahoo.com.  It will be first come-first serve.  It is $25 each way, $50 round trip.  With the 4 hour+ round trip you may want to save your parents the trip.  You can pay when you get there or send a check ahead of time.  The check should be sent to Jim Schlentz, 32 Cannon Rd, Freehold, NJ 07728 or you can bring your $ and pay when you get on the bus w/check or cash.  However, make sure you reserve your seat beforehand.

If six or more members of your team pay and come to camp, you will get $25 back. We will give you cash at check-in and you can use it to pay for your water park fee or you can keep it (or your parents can take it! J ) 95% of the camp checked “yes” for the water park, but you can change it to “yes” or “no” when you get to camp. We need to know at check-in because we are paying for buses. Once you pay for the park and we buy the tickets, the park doesn’t allow for refunds.

We will have softball, basketball, beach volleyball, miniature golf, etc and we will have the equipment for all of them.  You do not need to bring anything with you.

For the Talent show we will have a karaoke machine. You can bring your own karaoke music or you can do a different talent. Bring any props/music/costumes you may need.  No one is required to do a talent. It’s just for fun!  We will allow anyone that wants to have a practice run through the night before on the stage with the doors closed.  You can sign up for times when you get to camp.

Camp Dance Music: If you would like to bring some dance music for the camp dance, make sure it is on a CD and label the songs. We can also play Ipods.

Don’t forget to bring any inhalers (for those with asthma) that you use or any other important medication. Please include this information on your medical form and so that our nurse can be aware of any relevant medical conditions. Check our website, www.xcucamp.com for any updates.

Please send your medical history/release form and  final check by July 25th made out to XCU Running Camp to 32 Cannon Rd, Freehold, NJ 07728. Most important, don’t forget to do your summer running!  If your check will arrive later than the deadline or if you have any questions call 732-252-6417.
